Year 10 Careers Week at Kettlethorpe High School has been a huge success. Pupils have enjoyed a wide range of workshops and speakers from representatives at universities, further education and employers from the world of work. Stand out sessions were delivered by the NHS, Morrisons (Retail/Logistics), Engie. The Army, WDH, the National Horseracing College and, Leeds and Huddersfield Universities. The sports sessions from the Learning Curve provided excellent energetic and problem-solving activities. Equally, the football coaching sessions from Pontefract Collieries was challenging and stimulating. In addition, a significant number of Year 10 pupils have taken part in a one-week work experience placement with local employers, some attended a taster day at Wakefield College and others participated in an Enterprise Challenge from C & K Careers. Amazing feedback from pupils (and parents) and our guests delivering the sessions – inspiring week enjoyed by all!
