SEND

At Kettlethorpe High School we aim to:

  • meet the needs of all pupils including those with special educational needs. We share the expectation that all pupils, regardless of their specific needs, should be offered inclusive, quality first teaching which will enable them to make the best possible progress in school and to feel that they are valued members of the wider school community.
  • to empower all pupils to realise their potential by offering a range of provision to support children with communication and interaction, cognition and learning difficulties, social, mental and emotional health problems or sensory or physical needs.

Kettlethorpe Collaborative Partnership (KCP) are committed to the inclusion of children with special educational needs. We use the principles of reasonable adjustments, (defined below), along with our duty of best endeavours (defined below) to meet the needs of all pupils. KCP schools will always place an emphasis on supporting your child to be the most independent learner they can be in order to support their successful transition from school into adulthood.
