Oracy Day

As a school we recognise the importance of oracy, which includes speaking, listening and body language. Oracy skills are built in every lesson, whether it is actively listening to the teacher and speaking in front of peers, or having a group discussion with our peers about an interesting question. We celebrate on Oracy Day with lessons specifically designed to develop oracy skills in the contexts of curriculum subjects. Past themes include “talk like a…” and “question everything!”.
