The sun is shining on the first full day.

The plane landed safely in Barcelona at 2.50pm.

As you will be aware there has been heavy rain in Barcelona over the last few hours and the Ryanair flight (FR7542) was delayed for 4 hours but did set off at approximately 12.30pm.

We have been in touch with the tour operator, and they have assured us there is no risk to the trip at the moment. The tour representative is already at the airport, which is now open, with the coach ready to take the students and staff to the hotel, which is not affected and safe. The route from the airport to the hotel is also open and safe. The tour operator has also informed us that the weather is due to improve.

Some activities planned for this afternoon have been reorganised because of the delay.

The tour company will give us regular updates which we will communicate via this link throughout the rest of the trip.
