Key Stage 3

In all of KS3 and most of KS4’s core PE, the subject is taught is single sex groups. A number of activities are taught throughout a broad and balance curriculum. The curriculum allows pupils to discover new activities and work on skills that can be transferable across a number of activities. In Year 7 and 8 the PE department run an annual interform competition, where pupils will perform as a tutor group against the other tutors. The sports which are competed in for the interform competition are: Football, Rugby and Basketball (Boys); and Netball, Badminton, Hockey (Girls).

Key Stage 3
Year 7 PE is taught in single sex, mixed ability groups. Pupils are taught a range of skills in: Football, Fitness, Outdoor Adventurous Activities, Rugby, Gymnastics, Basketball, Athletics, Tennis, Hockey, Strike and Field, Netball, Handball, Hockey and Badminton.

Year 8 PE is taught in single sex groups, which are split into 3 ability sets. Pupils are taught a range of skills in: Badminton, Basketball, Rugby, Hockey, Football, Health Related Exercise, Table Tennis, Cricket, Athletics, Rounders, Tennis, Netball, Gymnastics and Handball.
