Key Stage 3
We aim to give pupils in KS3 a broad understanding of key beliefs in Christianity, Islam and Judaism. We also study key issues in life from a variety of religious and non-religious perspectives. In KS3 we introduce pupils to basic knowledge and skills required for those who choose to take Religious Studies as a GCSE examination course in KS4.
Year 7 topics include:
- Skills
- What do Christians believe?
- What do Muslims believe?
- What do Jews believe?
Year 8 topics include:
- What is God?
- Where did the world come from?
- Is there life after death?
- Moral issues
Assessment is done through a range of activities including controlled assessments and project work.
