Iceland Trip 2022

In the October half term break, Mr Rawling and four other members of staff took 50 excited pupils to Iceland for 4 days. Pupils got the opportunity to see the Northern Lights (albeit a little cloudy!), have a tour of the Golden Circle which included: Kerid Crater, Gulfoss Waterfall, the great Geysir and Þingvellir National Park. They also visited the beautiful Blue Lagoon for a relaxing dip! The tour also did a full day excursion to the South Shore where the pupils got to visit a number of waterfalls including Seljalandsfoss where some pupils and staff were brave enough to around the path behind the falls! They also visited the black sand beach of Reynishverfi where they experienced heavy rain and wind (meaning they did not stay here for very long!)

Overall, a great trip was enjoyed by all. A huge thank you to the brilliant driver and tour guide from Snaeland Grimsson in Iceland, all the pupils for behaving so well during the entire trip and the staff who helped run the trip with Mr Rawling; Mr Wainwright, Mrs Leonard, Miss Lockwood and Miss Moore.
