Reading for Pleasure

There are lots of ways at Kettlethorpe High School where you can get a book to read in your own time:

  • Library – Click here to read about our fantastic library.
  • Book Racks – help yourself to the numerous books available around school. These are available all around school. Just remember to put them back when you’re finished so that other pupils can benefit from them!
  • Book vending machine – Earn tokens in English and Library lessons and use them in our exciting vending machine found in the ‘Literacy Corner’ in the foyer next to Pupil Reception.
  • World Book Day (WBD) Events – Each year we run an exciting programme of events linked to WBD which takes place in early March each year. Year 7 – look out for your free book which will be given to you as a special treat to celebrate the day.
