Children In Need 2023

Last week, we held various events around school to raise money for our chosen charity, Children in Need. There were tutor bake sales, paper plane competitions and our famous Ice Bucket Challenge. Thank you to the entire Kettlethorpe High School community for being, as always, so generous in raising money for Children in Need. Our total this year is over £5000 and counting!

Here is a roundup of just some of the events we held:

10K2 ran a paper plane competition, the winners were: Emmanuel A, Freddie C, Matthew P and Ada M
William P did a bake sale at home and raised £230
Enya and Fionnuala P sold sweets in school and raised £97
Isobel C won the chocolate raffle that was hosted by 11S6
8S4 sold cakes and drinks and raised £152.73
8S3 raised £47 doing a bake sale
9S5 did a bake sale and raised £117.50
Some pupils in 7K7 made and sold bracelets and raised £34
11S1 and 10S3 sold drinks and crisps and raised £291
8K3 did a bake sale and raised a few pence under £30
7S3 raised £43.16
9S2 ran a Guess the Sweets in a Jar competition, raising over £45, the lucky winner was Miss Lee, who got the closest guess of 478 – just 2 away from the actual total!
