Congratulations to all seventeen pupils who made the West Yorkshire cross country trials, our highest number of triallists yet! All seventeen pupils did excellently to make it to this stage; consistently finishing in the top 10 Wakefield runners for their age group and completing 4 races in the Wakefield rounds.

One pupil did particularly well on the day, with Maya S from Year 8 finishing 2^nd in the junior girls age group, despite being a Year 8 running with girls from pupils a year above her. Maya will now be asked to represent West Yorkshire in the national cross country finals, an incredible achievement!”
