Year 11 Class of 2026 PPE Results Day

Kettlethorpe High School marked an important milestone this week as Year 11 students received their Pre-Public Examination (PPE) results. The day offered a powerful blend of reflection, reality‑checking, and renewed motivation as students look ahead to their GCSE examinations in just a few months.

The PPE Results Day is designed to mirror the experience of receiving real GCSE grades, giving students a clear sense of their current progress and the steps needed to reach their full potential. For many, it was a moment to celebrate hard work and improvement; for others, it served as a timely reminder of the focus and commitment required as the final exam season approaches.

Teachers and senior leaders were on hand throughout the day to offer guidance and encouragement. Head of Year Miss Gorton said that “the emphasis was not solely on grades but on growth, we can help our students understand their strengths, identify areas for development and set meaningful goals for the months ahead”.

Staff highlighted the importance of using PPE results as a springboard rather than a final judgement. With targeted revision, consistent effort and the support of the school community, students have every opportunity to make significant progress before the summer.

As the countdown to GCSEs begins, Kettlethorpe High School remains committed to providing high‑quality teaching, tailored intervention and a supportive environment that empowers every student to succeed.
