Kettlethorpe High School Celebrates Results Day Success 

Kettlethorpe High School is proud to celebrate the achievements of its Year 11 students following a successful set of GCSE results.

Students’ hard work, resilience and determination have been rewarded with an impressive set of outcomes, reflecting the school’s commitment to ensuring every young person is supported to achieve their best.

This year, students achieved an exceptional 124 Grade 9s, alongside an impressive 355 Grades 8 and 9, an improvement on the previous year, demonstrating the high levels of achievement across the year group.

These outcomes are a testament to the dedication of students, staff and families, as well as the school’s unwavering focus on academic excellence and personal development.

“We are absolutely delighted with this year’s GCSE results, and immensely proud of every student in the Class of 2026. We are particularly pleased that this year’s outcomes represent a significant improvement on last year’s results. This reflects the collective effort of our whole school community and our relentless focus on ensuring every student can achieve their full potential through hard work, perseverance and commitment.

The school is particularly proud of the breadth of achievement across the year group, as demonstrated by 84% of all students being entered for the ambitious EBACC suite of qualifications, with students excelling across a wide range of subjects and securing destinations in sixth forms, colleges and apprenticeship pathways.

The outstanding number of top grades achieved is particularly pleasing and highlights the ambition and determination of our students. Equally important is the success of those students who have overcome personal challenges, shown exceptional resilience and achieved results that will enable them to take their next steps with confidence.

These results are a reflection of our school’s vision of Present, Achieving, Excelling and our core values of Respect, Responsibility, Resilience and Reflection. Today is a celebration of both academic success and personal growth, and Kettlethorpe High School looks forward to following the future achievements of its students as they continue their educational journeys.

We are proud of all of our pupils, but we would like to personally congratulate notable individual successes for Jesse Yates who achieved an incredible 10 qualifications, 9 of which at grade 9 or equivalent; Jennie Crofts who gained 10 top grade GCSEs including 6 grade 9s and Oliver Proctor who also gained 10 top grade GCSEs including 4 grade 9s. Jamie King achieved 9 top grade GCSEs including 6 grade 9s. ‘Twin’ success also came for Ilias and Ayoub Abubaker who achieved 20 GCSEs with several top grade 8s and 9s between them.
